At Fork in the Road Trip, every story begins with a real journey.
Our articles, reviews, trip reports, and travel experiences are researched, written, and edited by people who have actually traveled the roads, visited the places, and experienced what they’re writing about. We do not use artificial intelligence to generate our stories or opinions.
That said, AI has become a useful tool—much like a spell checker, grammar checker, or photo editor. We use it responsibly to improve the quality of our work while keeping the writing authentically human.
How We Use AI
We may use AI to assist with:
- Creating original featured images and other illustrative artwork when appropriate.
- Correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and writing clarity.
- Suggesting alternative wording or improving readability.
- Assisting with fact-checking and identifying areas that may need additional verification.
- Brainstorming ideas, headlines, or organizational structure during the editing process.
Every article is reviewed by a human before publication.
How We Do Not Use AI
We do not use AI to:
- Write our stories.
- Create fictional travel experiences.
- Invent reviews of places we’ve never visited.
- Fabricate historical information.
- Replace firsthand observations or personal opinions.
If we recommend a restaurant, scenic drive, roadside attraction, or destination, that recommendation reflects our own research, experience, or editorial judgment—not the output of a chatbot.

AI simply helps us present those stories more clearly and create illustrations when photography isn’t available. It never replaces the people behind Fork in the Road Trip or the experiences that inspire what we publish.
